Comfortable, private and relaxing accommodations. Kitchen had everything needed to cook a full meal. Lots of extra blankets and pillows tucked away in the closet. The outside yard was somewhat secluded and great space for kids to run around. Close proximity to the base area.
Honestly I have no complaints. Wifi didn't work, but we also didn't pursue the issue.
Our unit was spacious and well equipped. Bus stopped right outside. Housekeeping is offered every day.
Our unit needed updates. Bathrooms were old with mold around the tub. Kitchen from the 70s, tiny televisions etc.
I loved the size and space we had in the unit. The fire place was great!
I just felt the unit could use some updating. Felt very old.
We loved the wood burning fireplace and the stone hearth. It was much appreciated that the firewood was provided right outside our door!
One of the cabinet door hinges was broken when we arrived. Better reading light in the bedrooms is needed. Only one side had a bedside table and lamp in the larger bedroom.
The accommodation was spacious with great storage and a good sized entrance hall. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, especially the twin beds! The cleaning of the apartment was basic but good enough. The apartment was well heated. The shuttle buses worked well although after having waited for the bus on the first morning which never arrived, we found out that you had to call the Black Bear Hotel to arrange the shuttle when required, mid week. This worked much better than running to a timed schedule. The location was not bad even though this is not a ski in ski out property. It was a short 5 minute shuttle ride to the main resort.
The TV was small and very awkwardly located in the corner of the lounge and probably would not afford good viewing if there were several people watching. One evening we showered slightly later, around 7:30 pm and ran out of hot water! Booked.net listed amenities that were not actually available: "Sauna, Fitness Center, Spa, Massage, Hot Tub, Indoor Pool...." which was rather disappointing.
It really was a great place.
I would like to hVe a washer and dryer in the apartments
Close proximity to skiing.
Would like to have known about pool, hottub etc. We were unable to determine if these were available.
Room is spacious , good kitchen, well equipped and insulation..
The hotel does not have a Gym, front desk does not knows the wi-fi password, no swimming pool etc... You basically rent an apartment and are by yourself.. Also restaurants in town and the single market delli are very expensive..
Excellent location, great value. The condo was clean, roomy, kitchen was very modern, washer/dryer worked well. Full set of dishes, flatware, glasses was appreciated. Charming living area with fireplace, nice balcony with view of the mountain was awesome. Nice room for children with two beds and separate bath/shower. Master bedroom very comfortable. Awesome area to keep ski gear in front of unit, so it was very organized.
The shuttle from the ski resort back to Vantage Point was unreliable at times. Always on time in the morning to the ski resort, but return around 1-2pm was not reliable. Shuttle was supposed to depart ski resort at 1pm and every 20 min but on several occasions I had to wait over an hour which really stunk. The unit doesn't have a WiFi which ended up being a bit of a hassle since 4G was very slow and the TV was very small and besides basic channels didn't really work.
Right near mountain
Did not know it was the lower level! Reception was not versed in property info. Had no clue about lift tickets. Had to go to anoter comples to use a hot tub and sauna.
The fireplace was lovely and condo was spacious. If you're in town to ski and there with a family, or group of college kids- this type of accommodation is fine.
The bathrooms were rusty, dirty and simply 80s style cheap quality. The steam bath did not work. In fact the entire condo's decor was inexpensive and outdated. Mismatched hardware, broken floor tiles, skeezy carpeting- I didn't trust the linens. My husband and I visited Stratton for a romantic weekend to celebrate our anniversary- for the price we paid anticapted more of a hotel quality vs college spring break style. I encourage the management/owners of the condos to invest just a little to make these accommodations not just a place to sleep. If you're here to ski or with a big group, preice is fine- but if you want to actually feel comfortable in the room then look at other lodging options.
the room was misadvertised and was a drive to anything. The room was exactly as it would have appeared in the 60's. I would not recommend this place at all.
fireplace and sitting on deck plus walking around the village
could use a little paint on outside door and rug cleaning
love the backyard and the kitchen
we stayed there for three nights and ran out of shampoos and shower gels the first night but toiletries were never refilled in the following days.
Very comfortable, good pillows, clean and spacious. Hard to find where to go to register (off season) Would go back again!
